I had the joy of photographing Tiffany and Erwin’s engagement session late last summer. It was a HOT HOT day and there was a layer of smoke in the air from the forest fires, but it gave everything a nice orange glow. We had our session at Terra Nova Rural Park in Richmond. It’s a beautiful park situated in the Northwest point of Richmond right at the outlet of the Fraser River.
We started our session off with a walk along the boardwalk. With a gorgeous pond behind us, and endless tall grass and trees in the distance, it was the perfect backdrop to start off our session.
Next, we made our way to the hill top where we were surrounded by cotton plants, tall grass, wild flowers and…. MOSQUITOES! We got eaten alive out there, but it was so worth it for these gorgeous photos.
Terra Nova Park is home to one of my favourite willow trees. I’ve come to the park to photograph couples in front of this massive weeping willow many, many times.
We finished our session off with a piggyback ride to the porch of an old heritage farm house. In front of the heritage home, we found a grove of crab apple trees which was the perfect spot to conclude our romantic walk in the park.
