This is an engagement session I’ve been looking forward to for a very long time! I’d been in constant contact with Sally and Wilberto to put together our plans for this session. They wanted to capture the beauty of Vancouver both in the city and out in nature – not too hard since we live in the great Pacific North West!
Sally suggested a cute little patio at the Boulevard Restaurant. The patio furniture wasn’t set up yet, but we were still able to make use of the space. I feel like the photos have a very Parisian look to them especially with Wil and Sally’s attire!
Next up on our stop was the Vancouver Art Gallery, which is always an eye pleaser. The best thing about shooting in the city is beautiful glow coming from the streets when the sun reflects off the towering buildings. We found a beautiful spot at the side of the VAG that was absolutely gorgeous!
After a few quick portraits at the VAG, we jumped in the car and were off to Whytecliff park in West Vancouver. This was my first time shooting here, but I’d rode my bike here earlier in the week to check it out. Wil and I are pretty big into the automotive scene and thought it would be cool to get a few shots in front of the Range Rover he’d borrowed for the day. We parked it under a tree and took advantage of the beautiful glowing sun.
A quick outfit change later and we were off to the beach to get some beautiful golden hour shots. Our session concluded with a quick trek up the Whytecliff Islet for some amazing shots on the sound with the sun setting over the hills.
Wil and Sally, thanks again for an amazing afternoon! I can’t wait to see you guys again in July!
