I’m so excited to share this wedding with you all. You might recognize Teela and Pius from our pre wedding photo shoot extravaganza here. If you’ve been following along, you’ll know that Teela and I have know each other since our post secondary days at Kwantlen. When we met for our consultation last December, I was so happy to officially meet Pius and was so excited to work with the two of them because I could tell that they were so in love.
Our day started off with the girls getting ready at their bridal suite at the River Rock Casino in Richmond. I was met with a room full of beautiful young ladies who want nothing but the best for their BFF. Pius was at their Yaletown home getting ready with this long time buds – a much more relaxing morning without the hustle and bustle of hair and makeup.
After capturing some beautiful details and candid moments, we were off to Cecil Green Park near the University of British Columbia. Teela and Pius had planned to have their ceremony outdoors on the grass, but the weather was not too cooperative so everything had to be moved to the covered balcony. None-the-less, we were still blessed with some beautiful soft light for a intimate wedding ceremony. The altar was adorned with white roses, lilies, and orchids which made the perfect backdrop.
Our bridal portraits took place within the park grounds. We just had to take advantage of this beautiful heritage building. After a quick lunch, we were off to Gastown for some more photos. Teela and Pius had requested to include the iconic steam clock in their photos and I wanted to do something a little different so we went with a long exposure shot to highlight the business of popular spot.
Their reception took place at the Dragon View Chinese Restaurant in Richmond. The party started off with an epic dance entrance by the entire wedding party. The night was full of good drink, good food and even “gooder” company. Definitely a night to remember.
Teela and Pius, I am so honoured to have been able to spend this joyous day with the two of you. I can’t wait to see you guys again!
