I’m very excited to share Wilberto and Sally’s wedding with you all! You may remember them from the amazing engagement session we had a Whytecliff Park last April. Sally and Wilberto tied the knot at The Pinnacle Vancouver Harbourfront in downtown Vancouver in the middle of a heatwave in July. We were lucky to be inside a cool and comfortable air conditioned building for the majority of the day and any time spent outside was mostly in the shade or close to the water!
Our day started off nice and relaxing at the hotel where I photographed Sally and her closest ladies getting ready. Ryan was doing the same thing with the guys at their hotel across the street, but as usual, the guys only needed about 5 minutes to get ready. The rest of their time was spent wandering the streets of downtown and goofing around taking photos… I’m glad they had fun.
The ceremony took place in the Cordova Ballroom – a beautiful naturally lit room adorned by crystal chandeliers. The room was draped in white with gold accents. Towering glass vases with bouquets of white hydrangeas dressed in laced crystal welcomed the wedding party as they walked down the aisle. The ceremony was beautiful and looked like it was straight out of a wedding magazine!
Since the wedding was located right in the heart of downtown, we thought it’d be best to do our wedding party photos close to the water. We walked over to the convention centre and made use of the lush garden rooftop overlooking Stanley Park. Next, we took a stroll over to Coal Harbour to make use of the huge fields surrounded by castle like pillars and grand staircases. Once done with the wedding party, we gave them the rest of the afternoon off and spent some alone time with Wil and Sally.
Before the reception, guests had a chance to mingle, have a few drinks as well as snag a few photos in front of the photo booth with the wedding couple. Wil and Sally had a beautiful reception in the Pinnacle Ballroom where the night was filled with touching toasts to the couple and some entertaining games. Celebrations were had with their closest friends and family and I even ran into a few familiar faces myself! Wil and Sally, thank you for a wonderful day and I wish you two all the best that comes your way!
