When I first met with Angela and Edwin, I was greeted by a pleasant (and very cute) surprise – their 6 month old son! Turns out they were already officially married, but haven’t had the chance to celebrate the occasion with their friends and family. They wanted to have the full wedding day experience without the headaches… raising an infant is enough work as is! I told them I’d give them the wedding photos they always wanted without the stress of having to book a venue for the ceremony.
When they told me the reception would be in Richmond, I immediately suggested we do the photo shoot at Minoru Chapel. The faux wedding was to take place in the late summer and Angela was worried about the heat so Minoru was the perfect spot for us as there are plenty of trees around to provide shade. I called the Chapel as soon as possible to find out their schedule for the day and to make sure we had permission to take photos on their grounds (we did). I was informed that their final booking would be done by 5:30, which was perfect because that is my favorite time of day to shoot… I call it golden hour.
After the photo session, we quickly raced to The Jade Seafood Restaurant in Richmond where Angela and Edwin were to renew their vows for each other and celebrate their union (again) with their friends and family.
