Dana, Tanner and I know each other through a mutual friend and we hit it off the first time we met. I’ve been looking forward to this engagement session for months and now I finally have the chance to share it with everyone!
Our day started off at… the climbing gym… :p
Tanner has been busy prepping for his upcoming exams, but was able to escape his studious tasks to join me in a private climbing session at the brand new gym – perfect way to get rid of the pre-engagement photo jitters.
I met up with Dana, Tanner and Quila (their 11 year old Chihuahua mix) later in the day at their home and we set off to our location at the Capilano Regional Park in North Vancouver. We started off up at the Cleveland Dam and had a relaxing stroll through the forest down to the Capilano Hatchery where we finished off with some fantastic portraits at the bottom of the dam.
The four of us had such a great time on our walk through the forest. Quila was a trooper and Dana and Tanner were so easy to photograph since they could both act naturally in front of me. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding next year on the Island and I look forward to the many climbing adventures we’ll have until then!
