Last week, Ryan and I embarked on our first destination wedding to Napa Valley in California. I’d already been to San Francisco earlier in the year to photograph Samantha and Vu’s Engagement Session and was so excited to see them again for their wedding.
We landed on Friday in Oakland and after picking up some rental equipment, we were off to Napa to settle into our hotel. We did a little bit on exploring in Sonoma – mainly looking for a place to have dinner.
On Saturday, we met with Samantha and Vu at their wedding venue to go through their rehearsal. It was the perfect time to meet the family and friends who’d traveled to attend the wedding. After a quick lunch, we set off to take part in a wine tasting and tour of Kenzo Estate owned by the CEO of the ever so popular video game manufacturer Capcom.
The estate was absolutely stunning. Once we drove through the massive gates, our jaws dropped as our eyes were indulged with the sight those iconic rolling hills of Napa Valley – Kenzo did not disappoint to impress us with its beauty. You can read more about this gorgeous estate here.
Kenzo Estate has a very hospitable and informative team. We were so fortunate to have been able to take part in this wonderful tour and taste some delicious and unique wines. We finished our day off with a quick portrait session just as the sun was setting over the hills. It was a great chance to get rid of the pre-wedding jitters and we all had a marvellous time!
